Tamer donates Dubai concert’s revenue to Gaza
Singer Tamer Hosni has decided to donate the income of his upcoming concert in Dubai to the victims of Gaza.
“This is to support the people of Gaza. We shouldn’t stand still and watch what’s happening to them,” Hosni said oi a phone call to ‘El-Qahera El-Youm’ television program. “This is the least a singer could offer them in this situation.”
The gig, which is part of Dubai’s 2009 Tourism and Shopping festival, will take place next Friday.
In other news, Rotana magazine reports that Hosni denied accusations that superstar Amr Diab has anything to do with the death threats he’s been receiving.
“These claims are completely ridiculous. If these messages are sent from another singer that’s afraid I’m affecting his career, then it definitely can’t be Amr Diab,” Hosni told Rotana.
